1. Do I need prior experience to dive at Balas?
No experience is necessary for our beginner courses. Our SDI-certified instructors will guide you step by step, ensuring a safe and confident introduction to scuba diving.

2. What dive courses do you offer?
We offer SDI- and TDI-certified courses for all levels, from beginner Open Water courses to advanced specialties and Rescue Diver training.

3. When did diving courses start at Balas?
While Balas has offered nature experiences since opening, scuba diving courses were officially introduced in April 2025.

4. What language are the courses conducted in?
All courses are conducted in English.

5. How do I book a course?
Courses must be pre-booked at least two months in advance to ensure availability and personalized instruction. Contact our team to reserve your spot.

6. Is scuba diving safe?
Absolutely. All courses are led by certified instructors, and we follow strict SDI and TDI safety standards. We also provide high-quality, regularly maintained equipment.

7. Can children participate in scuba courses?
At this time, scuba diving courses for children are not available.

8. What other activities does Balas offer besides diving?
Balas also offers boat tours, cave spelunking, mangrove kayaking, and paddleboarding, so you can enjoy Sipalay’s natural beauty above water.

9. Do I need to be in good physical health to dive?
A reasonable level of fitness is recommended. All participants must complete a medical declaration. For concerns, our instructors can advise before booking.

10. What should I bring for my diving course?
Bring comfortable swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure. All diving equipment will be provided.
