Founded in 2023, Balas Dive & Experience Center at Manami Resort takes its name from “balas,” the local word for sand, a reflection of our deep connection to place and nature. Since opening, Balas has welcomed guests to explore Sipalay’s natural beauty through boat tours, cave spelunking, mangrove kayaking, and paddleboarding.
In April 2025, Balas expanded its offerings with the introduction of scuba diving courses, providing guests the chance to explore the vibrant underwater world with SDI- and TDI-certified instructors. From colorful coral gardens to intricate macro life, every dive is safe, engaging, and unforgettable.
Balas is more than a dive center, it’s a partner in marine discovery. Courses cater to all skill levels and are complemented by top-quality equipment and expert guidance, helping divers build confidence and appreciation for the ocean.
Beyond diving, Balas contributes to sustainable tourism through conservation initiatives, an in-house marine biologist, and stewardship of a nearby mangrove ecosystem. Here, exploration and preservation go hand in hand.
